  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup finely chopped bell peppers or carrots (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onions until translucent (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, sautéed onions, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and shape it evenly.
  5. Spread additional ketchup on top for flavor and moisture.
  6. Bake for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
