  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter in the microwave. Stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until glossy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, whisking after each addition, then mix in vanilla extract.
  4. Gently fold in the pumpkin puree.
  5. In another bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and pumpkin pie spice together.
  6. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. If desired, add chocolate chips.
