  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Season the chicken breasts lightly with salt and pepper and lay them in the prepared dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup and sour cream until smooth. Stir in poppy seeds.
  4. Pour the mixture over the chicken breasts, then sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  5. In another bowl, mix melted butter with breadcrumbs until well coated and spread over the cheese layer.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the topping is golden brown.
