  • 68 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash and slice the peaches into wedges. Toss them with ½ cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, remaining sugar, salt, milk, and melted butter until just mixed—don't overmix!
  4. Pour half of the batter into a greased baking dish. Layer the coated peaches on top and pour the remaining batter over them.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
