  • 2 cups full-fat Greek yogurt
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Fresh herbs (mint or thyme) for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of Greek yogurt and ½ teaspoon of salt until smooth.
  2. Line a fine mesh strainer with cheesecloth and place it over another bowl. Pour the yogurt mixture into the cloth and cover loosely with more cheesecloth. Refrigerate overnight to drain.
  3. After draining, transfer the thickened yogurt to a serving bowl. Stir in 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
  4. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil over the labneh and sprinkle with fresh herbs before serving.
