Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse chicken thighs under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, and lemon juice until well combined.
  3. Marinate chicken thighs in the mixture for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a splash of olive oil. Sear chicken thighs skin-side down for about 6-7 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Flip the thighs, drizzle with leftover marinade, and transfer to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through.
  6. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving and garnish with chopped green onions.
