Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups firm apples (like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and chopped
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan or 9×13-inch dish.
  2. 2. In a bowl, toss the chopped apples with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. 3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. 4. Mix eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, granulated and brown sugar in a separate bowl until smooth.
  5. 5. Fold the apple mixture into the wet ingredients, then add the dry ingredients gradually.
  6. 6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. 7. Let cool before serving; enjoy plain or topped with powdered sugar.
