  • 1 cup low-sodium vegetable broth

  • 2 tsp dried sage
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (divided)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake your cornbread according to your recipe until golden brown. Allow it to cool completely before crumbling into pieces.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add chopped onion and celery; sauté for 5-7 minutes until translucent.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine crumbled cornbread with sautéed vegetables. Stir in sage and additional seasonings if desired.
  4. Gradually add vegetable broth until the mixture is moist but not soggy. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Transfer to a greased baking dish, drizzle remaining melted butter on top, and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
