  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, melt butter with cocoa powder until smooth. Mix in granulated and brown sugars until well combined.
  3. Stir in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together. Gradually mix into wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. For the cookie dough layer: Cream softened butter with sugars until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, then mix in flour, salt, and baking soda.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Add dollops of cookie dough on top, followed by the remaining brownie batter. Swirl gently with a knife.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are set but center remains soft.
