Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a large baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Cut each biscuit into quarters and layer evenly in the baking dish.
  3. Cook ground sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned (5-7 minutes). Remove excess grease, leaving about 1 tbsp.
  4. Add butter to the skillet; once melted, whisk in flour until smooth and golden (about 2 minutes).
  5. Gradually whisk in milk until thickened (3-5 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Pour the sausage mixture over biscuits, gently stirring to coat.
  7. Crack an egg on top and bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
