  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. For the brownie layer, melt butter and mix with granulated and brown sugars. Add eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla. Fold in flour and cocoa until just combined.
  3. For the cookie layer, cream remaining butter and sugars until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla; mix in flour and chocolate chips.
  4. Pour half the brownie batter into the pan, add spoonfuls of cookie dough on top, then pour remaining brownie batter over it.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Cool before slicing.
