  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (preferably thick)
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 2 tbsp tikka masala spice blend
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil or ghee
  • Fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large bowl, mix yogurt, garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander, tikka masala, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Add chicken pieces to the marinade and coat thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (ideally overnight).
  4. Preheat the grill or oven broiler to high heat.
  5. Thread marinated chicken onto skewers (if using) and grill/broil for 5-7 minutes on each side until charred and cooked through.
  6. Serve hot with naan or over rice.
