  • ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour and baking powder together.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract, mixing until well incorporated.
  5. Gradually mix in the flour mixture alternating with whole milk.
  6. Divide the batter; stir cocoa powder into half of it.
  7. Spoon alternate dollops of both batters into the pan and swirl gently with a knife.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
