  • 1 cup light brown sugar

  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 2 cups whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). If using homemade crust, combine crushed graham crackers and melted butter; press into a pie dish and bake for 10 minutes until golden.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and mix in brown sugar until smooth. Cook for 2-3 minutes until it bubbles.
  3. In a bowl, whisk egg yolks and whole milk. Gradually add to the warm butter-sugar mixture while whisking continuously.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract and salt; cook on low heat until thickened (5-7 minutes).
  5. Pour filling into the pre-baked crust. Cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least two hours before serving.
