  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced (about 6 medium peaches)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Wash and slice the peaches, removing the pits.
  2. In a bowl, combine sliced peaches with half of the sugar (1/2 cup) and cinnamon. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, remaining sugar (1/2 cup), and salt.
  4. Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients; stir until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into a greased baking dish. Layer peaches on top, followed by remaining batter.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly around edges.
